Promotional Tips
The National Quik-Stik Tire Changing Contest provides several promotional opportunities to build traffic and increase sales in your store:

1. Make the Competition an Event - Schedule a specific day for the contest. At least two weeks before the event...
Put up posters in your store and around town advertising the contest.

Notify us of the event dates and we'll post the event, time and place on our Quik-Stik Contest web site (you'll get National exposure!).

Advertise the event in the local free shopper/mailer (ie: Pennysaver) and in the local newspaper if rates are within your budget.

You might also consider radio spots.

Notify your local TV station that your shop is going to represent your city in a nation-wide competition .They are looking for local interest stories. It's not exactly the local American Idol auditions ... but it is newsworthy.
Take pictures of the winner and run a press release in your local paper with your shop name prominently displayed. This will build interest for your next contest (you can hold as many as you wish).

2. Event Souvenir - Give everyone who participates a FREE Quik-Stik with your Shop Name and number. Click here for - order details.

4. Keep them Handy - Keep a full Jar of Quik-Stiks on your counter. You'll sell far more than you'll give away. We suggest you only sell Quik-Stiks printed with your Shop Name.

5. Offer a Spring Tune-Up Special - while the consumer is trying to win the trip to Las Vegas, your shop can by busy tuning up their bike.

6. The Top 10 - Don't let anyone leave without introducing them to our California Bike Gear Top 10 program - the ten essentials they need to enjoy bicycling to it's fullest ... bet there are I or2 of them they need!!!
